BTCCSquare news:

The New York Stock Exchange is breaking traditional market constraints with a blockchain-based trading platform set to launch in 2026. The system will enable continuous trading of stocks and ETFs, bypassing current limitations of market hours and T+2 settlement. By integrating its Pillar matching engine with blockchain settlement rails, NYSE aims to create a hybrid market structure that combines regulatory compliance with crypto-native features.

Fractional share trading and dollar-denominated orders will be supported alongside stablecoin funding options—a first for major equity markets. The platform's tokenized securities will maintain full fungibility with traditional shares, preserving CUSIP identifiers and shareholder rights while adding programmable functionality. This MOVE signals institutional recognition of blockchain's potential to solve longstanding market inefficiencies.
